Collection: Spoon Rings

Spoon rings were first made in 17th century England as wedding rings by servants who could not afford expensive precious metals. Servants would steal a silver spoon from their master and have it turned into a wedding ring to give to their love as a marriage proposal. Thus, the earliest spoon rings served as symbols of love and commitment, in defiance of strict social and economic barriers. Ever since these times, spoon rings have been a timeless and unique gift of love, a wonderful piece of heritage not forgotten.

We craft a diverse range of spoon rings, from silver plate to sterling silver, with the option for resizing to ensure a perfect fit.

Our hallmarked Sterling Silver spoon rings are authenticated by the Sheffield Assay Office, accompanied by a change of use certificate detailing the original assay date and location, imbuing each piece with a unique historical significance. For those sterling silver spoon rings where the original hallmark is obscured, we apply new Sheffield 2024 Assay hallmarks, complemented by our own sponsor mark.

While most spoon rings are typically reserved for our in-person events, feel free to reach out if you're interested—we have a vast selection to choose from!
