This spoon ring doesn’t contain the original hallmark. It is extra special as it has been hallmarked by Sheffield Assay Office and also contains our own sponsor mark.

This spoon shows signs of its past. Spoon rings were first made in 17th century England as wedding rings by servants who could not afford expensive precious metals. Servants would steal a silver spoon from their master and have it turned into a wedding ring to give to their love as a marriage proposal. Thus, the earliest spoon rings served as symbols of love and commitment, in defiance of strict social and economic barriers. Ever since these times, spoon rings have been a timeless and unique gift of love, a wonderful piece of heritage not forgotten.
