Description

All silver spoon rings come with a change of use certificate and a unique identification number issued by Sheffield Assay Office. Under the Hallmarking Act 1973, the re-working of previously hallmarked items into jewellery must have the permission granted on an individual basis by a UK Assay Office.

Each spoon ring costs approximately £12 to have a unique identification number added to it which is why they may be more expensive than others you find! - They are very special as they also contain our own sponsor mark.

This ring is currently a UK size S. It can be made bigger only. Please indicate the size you require form the drop down menu when ordering.

This spoon shows signs of its past. Spoon rings were first made in 17th century England as wedding rings by servants who could not afford expensive precious metals. Servants would steal a silver spoon from their master and have it turned into a wedding ring to give to their love as a marriage proposal. Thus, the earliest spoon rings served as symbols of love and commitment, in defiance of strict social and economic barriers. Ever since these times, spoon rings have been a timeless and unique gift of love, a wonderful piece of heritage not forgotten.

This spoon ring will come packaged in a luxury SOZO branded gift box and will be sent with special delivery.
